Historical Fiction TBR

We know how much I love historical fiction, like I talk about it way too much, it’s basically the only genre that I’m always in the mood for. I’ve finally got to some of the ones that have been sitting on my shelves and it’s just made me want to get to some of the other ones I’ve had for a while. This isn’t all that I have but I think these are the top of the list. Some of these are straight up historical fiction, and some of these have other elements to them.

Cover and synopsis from Goodreads; 1 2 3

Love By The Morning Star by Laura L. Sillivan
This one sounds intriguing, I think it could go either way for me but I’m hoping for the best.

The Mirk and Midnight Hour by Jane Nickerson
This one sounds really good! I’ve had it for quite a while now and I just haven’t picked it up yet, but I think that I’m going to love it.

Stormbringers by Philippa Gregory
I’m not too excited about this one actually, I didn’t really enjoy the first one, it had a really weird flow to it which kind of ruined it for me. However, the story was really interesting so I’m curious to see what happens next. (Also I got this for about $3 on BookOutlet so it’s worth a shot right?)

Rebel Mechanics by Shanna Swendsen
My mom actually ordered this for me for Christmas last year, but she accidently ordered the paperback so I ended up getting it for my birthday in July. It sounds like a really cool steampunk type story and I’m pretty excited about this.

The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman
This sounds like the exact type of historical fiction that I love, badass ladies getting stuff done even when socity tells them they shouldn’t. Fingers crossed I love it.

A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis
This one sounds a bit dark, much more serious subject matter than some others on this list, but those are always important stories to tell so I’m interested to get to this one.

Cover and synposis from Goodreads; 1 2

The Passion of Dolssa by Julie Berry
I have heard so many good things about this book that I’m dying to read it, I think I might make it a priority in 2017.

Gilt by Katherine Longshore
This cover is really pretty, and it sounds interesting enough and I’ve had it for far too long so there we go.

So there’s my list, let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you thought, and if there’s any others that you think I need to get to!
