A to Z Bookish Survey Tag

Tag Base.png

Look I’m not saying that I haven’t really felt like blogging lately because that’s not exactly true. I’ve felt like it, I just haven’t felt like actually doing it. You know? I figured a tag was an easy way to force myself to get some writing done today! So here we go, I googled bookish tags and this came up. (I think, I actually found this a while ago and saved the link but this seems like something that I’d do) I found the tag here!

Author You’ve Read the Most Books From;
I think Cassandra Clare, she’s not my favourite author but she writes some seriously addicting series.

Best Sequel Ever;
A Court of Mist and Fury mainly because I wasn’t expecting it to be that good at all, I honestly thought it’d be completely different but it blew me away.

Currently Reading;
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Drink of Choice While Reading;
Probably coke because I’m always falling asleep or water, or hot chocolate. But I usually forget about my hot chocolate and then it’s cold and no one wants that.

E-reader or Physical Book?;
Physical book, I have nothing against e-readers, but I don’t have one and I’m good with my paper books.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School;
I have literally no idea, like I got nothing for this one guys.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance;
Honestly, Bewitching Season by Marissa Doyle. I found it in a random box from when I was in high school and decided to give it a go because it seemed like a really easy read and I ended up loving it. So much fun.

Hidden Gem Book;
Vivian Versus the Apocalypse. This duology is so scary and messed up and well written, it’s seriously worth a read.

Important Moment In Your Reading Life;
This is tough, but I think I’m going to have to go with reading Code Name Verity, it basically changed the way I view a lot of books because it’s set such a high standard for me.

Just Finished;
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read;
I’m just not a fan of the standard dystopians, you know the ones that are really mixed in with sci fi. I have nothing against them, but it’s not really my cup of tea.

Longest Book You’ve Read;
I’m not 100% sure, but Winter was over 800 and that was this years longest read. How long is Order of The Phoenix?

Major Book Hangover Because Of;
Code Name Verity because it broke my heart and was so well written that I knew nothing would stand up after it. Also ACOMAF because the feels.

Number of Bookcases You Own;
5! But a couple of them are double stacked so I really need another one or two.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times;
Irish Chain by Barbra Haworth-Attard

Preferred Place To Read;
Definitely in bed.

Quote That Inspires You/Gives You All The Feels From A Book You’ve Read;
“Not if I can help it.” said Hermione grimly.”Flitwick told me in secret that I got one hundred and twelve percent on his exam. They’re not throwing me out after that.” Because Hermione Granger is the literal best and I can’t handle how much I love her.

Reading Regret;
Reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child because as far as I’m concerned it doesn’t exist and that was a waste of time.

Series You Started And Need To Finish (All Books Are Out In The Series);
I’m literally writing this blog post after I finish this one so I’m just gonna skip this one for now.

Three Of Your All Time Favourite Books;
1. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
2. Irish Chain by Barbara Haworth-Attard
3. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

Unapologetic Fangirl For;
Leigh Bardugo, for obvious reasons I think.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others;
The more I hear/see about The Gentleman’s Guide To Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee the more I need it.

Worst Bookish Habit;
Whenever I put aside a book I’m currently reading to read something else I fully intend to go right back to it, but it never happens.

X Marks The Spot: Start At The Top Left Of Your Shelf And Pick The 27th Book;
Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter

You’re Latest Book Purchase;
It was Spare and Found Parts by Sarah Maria Griffin in November. Such a good book.

ZZZ-Snatcher Book (Last Book That Kept You Up WAY Late);
I don’t even know, I work too much so like I can’t stay up late anymore, Front Lines really tempted me though.

So there we go! This was pretty fun, and was way quicker than I thought it’d be. Someone else should give it a go and let me see what  your answers were!
