I’m writing this one at the beginning of December so I guess there’s always a chance that something happens and I end up reading one of these but I’m pretty confident that I’m not going to get to any of them this month. I know myself pretty well so I’m saying this is a safe bet. Let me know if you’ve read any of these and which ones I need to put at the top of my 2019 TBR! And if you want more info on T5W then the link to the Goodreads group is right here!
FIVE /// Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
The Dark Artifices are the only Cassie Clare books that I haven’t read yet, which is stupid because I really do love her books and these seem to be everyones favourite? I don’t think that anything will ever top TID for me but I still really do want to read these ones! I actually got about 200 pages into this one when it first came out before I put it down and I don’t know why I never carried on? I decided in about August that I wanted to read it in 2018 but it just didn’t happen. I’m determined to read the entire trilogy before her next one starts though so I need to get on it in 2019.
FOUR /// The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
I only got this one in October but considering it’s one that I’ve wanted to read for years I really thought that I’d get to it. Apparently I was wrong, but I’m not too mad about it because I think it’ll be a good book to read on a gloomy January day off.
THREE /// Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
Another one that I bought about halfway through the year and really wanted to read but you know, other things came up. I’ve also heard quite a few negative things about the sequel so that’s kind of made me scared to read it but I think that it’ll be an easy read once I do pick it up. Hopefully this winter.
TWO /// Jade City by Fonda Lee
I started this one in the fall and I immediately fell in love with the writing and the world and the story and the characters are so fascinating. I was sick when I started it but I had every intention of getting back into it once I felt better but that didn’t happen so now I need to make sure it’s at the top of my list to read next year.
ONE /// Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
This has been on my yearly TBR’s for soooo long and I still haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. Is it bad if I say it’s because I’m not really drawn to the cover? Is that an awful thing to admit? Probably. I’ve heard so many people gush about this series though and I own both the first and last ones in the trilogy so I need to read it. Fingers crossed on 2019 being the year.
