For part two of my cheating Top 5 Wednesday month we have the top 5 series that I want to either finish or get caught up on in 2019. I actually think this might be kind of the accurate topic for this week but either way we’re going with it. I’ve already finished up one series that I was super excited for this year so I’m feeling optimistic about these! Also very excited! If you want more info on T5W then the link to the Goodreads group is right here!
FIVE /// The Diviners by Libba Bray
I loved the first book in this series when I read it and then loved the sequel even more but I just haven’t been able to get my hands on the third book in the series just yet. This is the year though because I want to be prepared for the finale! It’s so dark and eerie and a bit twisted and I love all the characters so much.
FOUR /// Charlotte Holmes Series by Brittany Cavallaro
I read the first one as soon as it was released and loveddd it but put off reading the sequel until late 2018 for some reason? I ended up loving that one just as much as the first one so I really want to read the third one and then the finale when it’s released this year!
THREE /// The Conqueror’s Saga by Kiersten White
I’ve been so fascinated by Vlad the Impaler since I was 14 years old so I was beyond excited to pick up this version that features a female Vlad. And I loved it. It was one of my absolute favourite reads of 2016 and I just bought the sequel so now I just need to reread the first one and I can power through the final two. It’s the year of historical fiction so I am beyond ready.
TWO /// The Firebird Trilogy by Claudia Gray
I don’t even want to talk about this one because it’s been on my TBR for so long and I’m so ashamed every time I talk about it because I adored the first two books in this trilogy so much. Like, so much. I really don’t know why I haven’t read the finale yet but I’m determined to make it happen.
ONE /// Blood of Gods and Royals by Eleanor Herman
I can’t really tell you why this is the series that I’m the most excited to read but here we are! I just bought books two and three in this series and I’m so ready to read them! This is one of the best historical fiction books I’ve ever read, it’s set in a time period that I literally never read about and the writing is so well done and the characters are so complex and ugh. I loved the first one so much (are we noticing a theme here?) and I can’t wait to get back to this world.
