Book Unhaul Part One

Untitled 8.pngSo welcome to this new thing we’re doing (that I’ve actually been meaning to do for a very long time but always thought it would be more difficult than it actually is) Early last year I went through all my shelves and decided to unhaul a bunch of books that I either don’t think I’ll read or just didn’t like enough to keep around anymore. Which was great because now I can fit things on my shelves and just get to look at books that I like. I did decide to keep the books around for a while just to see if I changed my mind about any of them, and that turned into having bins of books sitting in the basement because I’m bad at things.

I thought it would be fun/helpful to post every single book that I’m unhauling and maybe someone can help me make up my mind about some of the ones that I’m not sure about! I have no idea how many posts there will be, I went through the smaller two bins and have almost 50 books so I image there will be at least 10 since I’m doing 10 books/series per post. So here’s part one! Let me know what you think about some of the ones I can’t make up my mind about!

Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter
I started this one, ended up putting it down and have just never felt like picking it back up and don’t think I ever will so it’s gone!

My Last Kiss Bethany Neal
I bought this one on BookOutlet because I thought it sounded kind of dark but like…I don’t like sad contemporaries. I barely like contemporaries at all so this one just isn’t gonna happen.

The Edinburgh Dead by Brian Ruckley
This is one that I’ve actually read and really did like, I might end up keeping this one just to remind me to branch out a bit but I’m not sure. It wasn’t a life changing read and it’s kind of really ugly but maybe it can live on one of my lesser used shelves. I don’t know.

The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney
I bought this one because it was on sale and the cover was pretty and there was some hype surrounding it. My mom read it and said it was good but I just don’t think it’s going to happen.

Amber House by Kelly Moore, Tucker Reed & Larkin Read
I was so excited to read this one and I did actually start it but something about the writing/the way the story was laid out just didn’t work for me. I didn’t make it very far in and since it’s the exact type of book that I love I know that it’s just not gonna work.

Wither & Fever by Lauren DeStefano
I read Wither when it first came out and actually really liked it but then I waited too long to get the next one and completely lost interest. I sometimes think about giving this another go so I might keep it around but I don’t actually think that it’ll happen.

Talon by Julie Kagawa
I’m so torn on this one! This is the one from this list that I think I want to keep the most because dragons! I’ve just never read it…but dragons. I don’t know.

The Pledge, The Essence & The Offering by Kimberly Derting
I think I bought this first book in store and then got the next two on BookOutlet because I thought it would convince me to read them? I do think that it’s a really cool premise but it also sounds like of dystopian and I’m not into that. Another one to think about a bit more probably.

A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnson
I’ve read this one and did really like it, but not enough to keep it around.

Made for You by Melissa Marr
I don’t even remember what this one is about so nah.
